WHAT ARE THE PHYSICAL HEALTH RISKS?
Regardless of what you see in the media, or what social politics agenda is being pushed on us (fat pride, body positivity, fat is great etc), there is no doubt that being obese comes with severe health risks. Some of those risks are shown below:
As mentioned, there is no doubt that being obese isn’t doing any of us any favors, when it comes to our physical health. It leads us to having all kinds of preventable health problems and diseases. The key word here is preventable. Our actions, decisions and lifestyle can greatly impact our health, and being obese is something that all of us can change through our own effort and thus help to prevent ourselves from becoming sick.
In my own personal journey and experience through obesity, I know for a fact that I was sick and my body felt horrible. Luckily, as you will find out through the Obese Release Asia program and videos etc, obesity is reversible and you can become healthy again!
Diseases and illnesses aside, remember that obesity also greatly reduces our lifespan. I don’t know about you, but I would like to be there for my family and experience the pleasures of life, without having a premature death and potentially putting my own family in trouble. I don’t want to feel like a burden when I am alive, and I definitely don’t want to burden my family with a premature death either.
MENTAL HEALTH RISKS OF OBESITY:
Something I feel isn’t spoken about nearly enough is the mental effects of being an obese person. I personally became more and more depressed as I continued to gain weight. For example, I was far unhappier when I was 150kg (330lbs), than when I was 120kg (264lbs), despite being obese at both weight ranges. Why? Well simply because I could take part in extremely few activities. Things that gave me pleasure and fulfillment were no longer possible. I was becoming a prisoner in my own body.
I could only perform activities where I was stagnant and didn’t have to move much. This led me to constantly eating more and more and getting even more obese. I developed major addictions to food and sugar. I was extremely unhappy and depressed at the way my life was going. I felt ashamed and embarrassed to speak to my friends or meet them. I became socially isolated. I literally locked myself in my own obese prison.
As you can clearly see in the above image, and also from the description of my own experiences regarding this matter, I was heading through a downward spiral of obesity and depression. I didn’t feel like living anymore and I felt helpless and truly hopeless.
